All attendees need an entry visa for India and must allow sufficient time for the application procedure. It is the sole responsibility of each attendee to investigate the visa requirements for India and to apply for a visa in time. Attendees travelling specifically for the ISPAD 2018 Conference should apply for a Conference Visa ONLY. Do NOT apply for e-Visa such as e-Tourist visa, e-Medical visa and e-Business visa).
Please note:
- Passports should have at least six months validity from the date of arrival in India.
- The passport should have at least two blank pages for stamping by the immigration office.
The ISPAD 2018 Registration Department will only provide the official Letter of Invitation together with further necessary documents (letters of permission from the Indian Government/Ministries) to each attendee if their conference registration is fully paid and confirmed. These documents will be sent by email only starting July 2018 and must be submitted by the applicant along with any other documents required to the embassy. We recommend starting with the visa application process at least 8 weeks prior to the conference as the visa is usually valid for three months from the date of issue. The process may take longer in certain countries, so we therefore suggest that you contact your nearest Indian embassy or consulate to determine the appropriate timing of your application.
The letter of invitation does not financially obligate the conference organizers in any way and does not guarantee an entry visa to India. All expenses incurred in relation to the conference are the sole responsibility of the attendee. The conference organizers will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants.
